Q.1 What is scope of dentistry ?
Ans.: Dentistry is a noble profession which takes care of the dentition of human masses. Dentistry not only opens up the avenues to serve the population but also provides opportunities to be associated with institutions, government and private hospitals, research laboratories and national/international organizations.

Q.2 What is the recognition status of JDCGH ?
Ans.: Jodhpur Dental College General Hospital has started with its educational mission since Sept. 2003. It is affiliated to the national dental governing body, Dental Council of India and University of Rajasthan.
Every year DCI approves for the curriculum in the institution and once its 1st batch passes final year BDS exam, the B.D.S. degree course shall be recognized. This is the procedure followed equivocally by DCI for all the institutions.

Q.3 Procedure of admission ?
Ans.: The institution is recognized & approved for 100 admissions every year .

Q.4 What is the examination procedure ?
Ans.: As per DCI instructions and University of Rajasthan regulations, there will be annual exams to be conducted under University of Rajasthan from Ist year BDS till IVth year / final year BDS. In every annual exam there will be one theory paper & a practical exam. Total marks for every paper as 200. Out of these 200, 25% marks are sent by the institution as internal assessment marks. The internal assessment marks are given by each subject separately based on the performance of student indicated by the various terminal exams (conducted by the institution), tutorials, attendance (75% minimum) normal conduct etc.

Q.7 What is at present scenario of the institute ?
Ans.: The institute has well experienced staff in all the medical and dental facilities who are ever ready to impart knowledge to the student. College timings are from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm having 6 vigorous hours of continuous education. We have state of the art library to aid the staff & students and to update them and provide them opportunity to have integrated knowledge

The Dental OPD has 25 chairs installed in it on which daily about 100-150 patients are treated by the specialized dental surgeons with latest technological gadgets & equipments and the dental materials. Our aim is not only to provide knowledge to the students taking admissions in the institute but also to serve the masses at large. The treatment facilities provided at the institute are free of cost.

The institute holds dental camp at regular intervals for the welfare of general masses. Also, a school oral health programme is being conducted with the help of various schools so as to make the future generation aware of oral health & also to treat the diseased teeth of school children.

Q.8 What is the mode of transportation ?
Ans.: For the students, institute runs 12 busses for transportation from their resident. For the patients, free transportation is provided from selected areas of villages & Jodhpur city.

A. Jodhpur Institute Of Management is located 15 kms from Jodhpur railway station situated at village Narnadi, Jhanwar Road, near Boranada Industrial Area. The nearest airport & railway station is at Jodhpur.

2. Is the Institute approved by AICTE?

A. Yes, Jodhpur Institute Of Management is duly approved by AICTE, Govt of India & affiliated to University of Rajasthan, and also associated with ICMAI, Jaipur which is rated A category in all India ranking (survey conducted by AIMA through Business Standard) only institute in Rajasthan with A category ranking, .

A. It is as per the norms of AICTE, University of Rajasthan and RMAT .

4. How can I get an Admission in Jodhpur Institute Of Management?

A. Jodhpur Institute Of Management is affiliated to University Of Rajasthan, therefore to get an admission in JIM one has to clear RMAT examination held during month of May-June.(51 seats are filled through RMAT and 9 seats are filled by management strictly on merit basis)

A, It is as per the norms & rules of University Of Rajasthan & keeping in view the eligibility criteria of RMAT.

6. Whose Curriculum does JIM follow?

A. The Institute is affiliated to University Of Rajasthan; hence the Institute follows the curriculum of University Of Rajasthan. The following specialisations are available with major & minor
choices in:

  • Marketing Management

  • Finance
  • Information Technology

7. What is the scheme of Examinations?

A. University Of Rajasthan has 70% marks for Annual Examinations & 30% marks for Internal Assessment & Evaluation.

8. What provisions have been made for the residence of students coming from outside?

A. Two hostels within the campus-one for boys & second for girls. The maximum numbers of boarders who can be lodged in the hostel are 90 boys & 30 girls.

9. What about the Infrastructure?

A. The college is situated in 2.9 acres of land with 8 Ventilated Classrooms, 2 Auditoriums, 2 Tutorials, well equipped Digital Library & Computer Laboratory, Girls Common Room, separate Chambers for faculty members, Library containing thousands of books & large number of Journals & Magazines, Indoor Games Room & facilities for sports are also available.

10. Do you have a Placement Cell?

A. Yes, College has fully functional, dedicated & separate Placement Cell because the JIM believes that Placements are lifeblood of a Business school. The Placement Cell interacts with the Industry, Placement Consultants & Agencies for the sake of better Placement of the students.

11. What is the future plan of JIM?

A. The Institute is committed towards quality education. For the same, Center of Business Ethics & Social Responsibility is proposed. For developing better analytical approach, a Business Research Group will be formulated soon.

Ans 85% seats will be filled through state level entrance test organized by Government of Rajasthan or it’s nominee and 15% seats through Management quota

1. What is the exact location of Jodhpur College & Research Centre?

A. Jodhpur College & Research Centre is located about 15 km from Jodhpur Railway Station situated at village Narnadi, Jhanwar Road, near Boranada Industrial Area. The nearest airport & railway station is at Jodhpur.

2. What is the recognition of courses/institute?

A. Yes, Jodhpur College & Research Centre and the Courses of BBA, BCA and M.Sc. (Environmental Science) are duly affiliated by M.D.S. University Ajmer, Rajasthan.

3. What is the Intake capacity of students in Jodhpur College & Research Centre?

A. At present we have 40 seats for BBA, 40 seats for BCA and 20 seats for M.Sc. (Environmental Science). The seats are likely to be increased from the next year.

4. How can I get an Admission in Jodhpur College & Research Centre?

A. The admissions are open on first come first serve basis. For BBA & BCA the minimum educational qualification is 12th (Senior Higher Secondary) with minimum 50% for general category and 45% for the sc/st/obc category. For M.Sc. (Env.Science), minimum qualification is graduation (with biology/agriculture /zoology, botany/chemistry/geology) with 55% marks.

5. Whose Curriculum does JCRC follow?

A. The Institute is affiliated to M.D.S. University, Ajmer-Rajasthan, hence the Institute follows the curriculum of M.D.S. University, Ajmer.

6. What is the scheme of Examinations?

A. M.D.S. University has 70% marks for Annual Examinations & 30% marks for Internal Assessment for BBA course(10 papers each year). For BCA 50 marks for theory (6 papers-each year) and 50 marks for practical (for 3 papers - each year). For M.Sc. Environmental Science 100 marks for theory paper (4 papers - each year) and 200 marks for practical (1 paper–each year).

7. Do you have hostel facility?

A. Two hostels within the campus-one for boys & second for girls. The maximum numbers of boarders who can be lodged in the hostel are 90 boys & 30 girls.

A. 9. Do you have a Placement Cell?

A. This is the II year only of the college but we are already prepared for the students of III year and have formed a separate functional body because a placement cell is very important for a business institution. This Placement Cell is in regular touch with the Industry, companies, Placement Consultants & Agencies for the sake of better Placement of the students.

10. What is the future plan of JCRC?

A. We are planning to start M.Sc.(Bio-Technology) and M.Sc.(Micro-Biology), B.Sc.(Bio-Technology).
