Students are expected to give full expression to their intellectual and creative capabilities in devising suitable strategies and action plans. Cases are derived from a pool of research and consultancy spanning diverse areas of operating policies, accounting methods, market analysis, strategic management and international business. Project Work: The knowledge gained in the classroom needs to be reinforced by the right attitude and proper skill to complete the gamut of developing managerial capability. Non-classroom curriculum consists of a variety of projects, which provide opportunities for application of the knowledge learnt in class to real life situations within the college and outside. Once the projects are complete, the students are required to submit project report and make presentation to the rest of the class. JIM has one of the best computer center in the state of Rajasthan with about 20 LAN connected Intel P-III/PIV computers. The server has Windows-2000 operating system while the clients have the Windows-98 operating system. The Computer centre in our institute is well equipped with the latest hardware and software to keep pace with the academic as well as the administrative needs of the institute. The software part includes Windows-98, Microsoft Office, Turbo C++ compiler etc. Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 Enterprise Edition Package and Novell Netware 5.1 networking software. The students are encouraged to make utmost use of the hardware & software facilities to make the effective PowerPoint presentation on LCD projector. The institute has separate computers with Pentium processor to provide support to the administrative needs. Internet Facilities The efforts are being made by management to either have an ISDN connection or better still if we can have a leased line connection. As BSNL doesn't have the technical facilities for either ISDN or leased-line in this area for the present, we presently provide a dial-up connection with a proxy server to multiplex users. This is good enough to surf on the Internet using Satyam & Datainfosys I.S.P facilities. The BSNL is seriously considering our request & hopefully we will get the leased line connection/ISDN at the earliest. Students are invited to make maximum use of the computer centre & the Internet. You may be required to register in the centre for orderliness Note: - Shortly JIM will commence in house diploma courses in computers. (Dates & details to be announced later)
