Kushal Education Trust has been formed as a public charitable trust on 29.08.2001 with an object of setting up educational institutions. The trust was registered with sub-registrar on 30.08.2001. The founder members of the trust are Shri Kamal Mehta, Shri S. S. Kothari, Smt. Sarita Mehta and Smt. Prem Harkawat. Shri Mehta is Chairman and Managing Trustee of the trust and is an experienced chartered accountant and a well known person in the area of banking and technical education. Shri S.S.Kothari is an experienced senior executive and director of HINDALCO Industries Ltd. Smt. Sarita Mehta and Smt. Prem Harkawat are eminent educationist.

Mr. Kamal Mehta, F.C.A, aged 43 years is the Chairman and Managing Trustee of KET. After completing his B.Com. in 1979 from Jodhpur University, he qualified chartered accountancy course in the year 1983 and started his own practice. In March 1998 he promoted Vaishali Urban Co-Operative Bank Ltd. which is one of the best-run bank in cooperative sector. Due to its excellent working he has been elected as Chairman of Rajasthan Urban Banks Federation, Director of National Urban Banks Federation, New Delhi and also as Director of Rajasthan Financial Corporation Jaipur.

He is also one of the promoter and member of managing committee of National Society For Engineering Research 4 Development who has set up Jaipur Engineering College and Research Center in the year 1999. The college is situated at Tonk Road, Jaipur and affiliated to AICTE and University of Rajasthan and approved by Govt. of Rajasthan. Total Seats in the college are 360 with 60 each in Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Electrical and 90 seats in Computer Science,30 seats in bio- technology. College is running in its fourth year.

He is also promoter and Chairman of "The Institute of Certified Management Accountants of India" , which is rated A category in all India ranking (survey conducted by AIMA through Business Standard) only institute in Rajasthan with A category ranking. Institute is approved by AICTE and is affiliated with University of Rajasthan, offering MBA courses. The Institute has a capacity of 60 Students. Institute is having good infrastructure facilities and admissions are governed by Central Admission Tests by University of Rajasthan.

Mr.S.S.Kothari, aged 78 years is the Vice-Chairman and Founder Trustee of KET. He is highly experienced technocrat and senior executive who had been President of Hindalco Industries Ltd. for over twenty years and still continuing as director. During his tenure company has progressed in leap and bounds and it has become leading company of India in aluminum sector. He has over 40 years of experience of management at senior positions.

Smt. Sarita Mehta, B.Sc. aged 36 years is the Treasurer of KET. She is a member of managing committee of Jaipur Engineering College and Research Centre, Tonk Road Jaipur and member of managing committee of ICMAI which is rated A category in all India ranking (survey conducted by AIMA through Business Standard) only institute in Rajasthan with A category ranking, Jaipur.

Vision

Kushal Education Trust (KET) has been formed as a public charitable trust, aiming to set up the educational institutions i.e. engineering colleges, dental colleges, research institutes for the advancement and propagation of education and research. The board of trustees comprises of professionals with outstanding achievements who are found to be forward looking and competent to carry out the objectives of the trust.

Mr. Kamal Mehta Chairman and Managing Trustee, is a well-known personality of Jaipur in the field of banking and education. He has visualised future of higher education & growth potential in the sector and resultant opportunities of the recent policies of the state government.

Management

The success of any industry, or institution lies in its management. More it is efficient, vigilant and organised, more are the chances of its success. Number of institutions / organisations have failed due to inefficient management. To make the project successful the trust has been very careful in forming the governing body for the college.

The Governing Body of the trust comprises of the distinct breed of the society, who has been successful with accomplished career in their respective fields. The members of the governing body hails from different discipline and segments of the society and are richly experienced in their own field of activity. Brief details of the members of governing body are as under:

He is the chairman of the trust. His experience and profile has been discussed earlier in the report.

2. Sh. R.M.Kothari
He is a retired I.A.S officer with more than 30 years of administrative experience.

3. Shri S.R. Bhansali Retd. District Judge and Law Secretary, Govt. of Rajasthan. Serving as leading Consultant, Advisor and Arbitrator after superannuation.

4. Sh. Sharad Bhandari An eminent Engineer, and Director, Photo Electric Instruments Pvt. Ltd., Jodhpur. BE (Electrical, IIT), Kanpur.

5. Prof. M. L. Mathur An eminent educationalist in the field of Technical Education. Former Vice-chancellor of J.N.V. University, Jodhpur; served the Faculty of Engineering as Head of Mechanical Engineering Deptt. & Dean.

6. Mr. V. R. Mehta IRSE (Retd.) served Indian Railways, deputed to Asian Bank, Bangkok.
